Contributor's Wanted

StrictlyBallet.com is looking for good writers to submit content on ballet-related topics. These include performance, technique, choreography, diet & nutrition, history, and more!

I started StrictlyBallet.com in 1999 to expose my ballet students to broader horizons in the world of ballet. Years later, the site has grown, but the mission remains the same; to provide historical, factual, and informational material relating to everything ballet.

Do you want to share your passion for ballet? Do you want to want contribute your views, opinions, and ramblings?

Join Us!If you are reading this, then chances are you enjoy the world of ballet in one way or another. Perhaps you are a dancer, a choreographer, an avid fan, a student, or a dance mom. While I am not in a position to pay, here is what I can offer:
  • A growing, global audience.
  • For contributors with a blog, this is a chance to reach a wider audience.
  • For contributors without a blog, this is a chance to share experiences to entertain, motivate, educate.
  • A chance to write about your passion.
  • All contributions will be promoted via social media, including Twitter and Facebook.
  • All contributions will include the author’s name, short bio, and link(s) back to author’s blog or social media profile of choice. Authors retain full rights to their stories and photos.
  • All regular contributors will have a link to their posts on StrictlyBallet.com included in the sidebar along with their bio, photo, and link back to their blog on the Contributors page.

Different ideas and perspectives help create a unique reader experience. That said, here are a few of my ideas for how StrictlyBallet.com can benefit from new contributors:

  • Reviews -- Do you have a burning desire to share your opinion about a performance?
  • Articles -- Do you have expertise in performance, technique, choreography, diet & nutrition, or history? Share it with our readers!
  • Photo Essays -- Are you a photographer or interested in dance photography? Submit a photo essay from a rehearsal or performance!
  • Forum Moderator -- We will be building the content and members in our forum and will need moderators for topics.

Please contact me if you're interested in joining our team of contributors. A writing sample will be required in the absence of an existing blog (which does not have to be ballet-related).
